ABOUT

contact me
I am a filmmaker and multimedia artist who believes in tenderness as a form of collective liberation to a patriarcal & colonialist system that reproduces violence in all levels. My artwork explores migration, belonging, food, gender, identity and care work through documentary film, film-viewing, cultural events, writing and creative workshops.

Migration has shaped my identity, with roots across Colombia, Mexico and Venezuela. After a stint in the more mainstream Latin American film industry, I moved to London and completed an MA in Documentary Film at UCL. Whilst on this course and always seeking to position care at the centre of my practice, I began volunteering with the Latinx elderly community at Calthorpe Community Garden. With them, I started making collaborative documentaries and later worked as the Community Administrator. Later, I coordinated the 2025 One World Media’s Awards and Fellowship.

In 2024, I co-founded errante, a traveling migration film program held at alternative spaces in London, Paris and Barcelona, featuring screenings in dialogue with other disciplines, such as experimental arts and food. Lately, I have been writing a fanzine about memory, recipes and grief, and exploring concerns on food sovereignity and environmental impact through experimental documentary.

Alongside my crafts, I spend a lot of my time learning about mental health. This inevitably permeates my practice, how I approach life and people. I view my spiritual, nonreligious path of self-knowledge as a philosophical and political stance against the exploitative capitalist system within which we are embedded. For over 12 years, I have been exploring myself, working to dismantle patterns and oppresive systems within me, and looking to improve the way I relate to myself and others through trial and error. I have been into jungian psychoanalysis, sharing circles, biodance, creative writing, buddhist meditation practices, yoga, astrology, tarot, gestalt, dream work, family constellation, and most recently trauma-informed therapies, somatics and grief work.
